Information on Disposing of Used Batteries
Since our shipments may contain batteries or rechargeable batteries, or since we sell such products, we are required under the Battery Act (BattG) to inform you of the following:
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household trash. You are legally required to take used batteries and rechargeable batteries to an appropriate collection point.
You can return used batteries free of charge to a municipal collection point or a retail store after use. Alternatively, you can also return batteries to us. Please make sure to affix sufficient postage and pack the batteries securely.
Meaning of the Waste Bin Symbol
The crossed-out waste bin symbol indicates that batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
The following chemical designations may appear under this symbol:
- Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004 percent by mass of lead.
- Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium.
- Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury.
Please help protect the environment by disposing of batteries and rechargeable batteries properly.
