Description of the different categories of Item Conditions
A detailed list of the various condition categories we offer at retrospiel. In case there are questions please drop us a line before placing an order.
-NEW-
When we list an item as new, it means that this item is still brand new, unopened and unused. The item is sold with its original packaging or seal intact - provided it was or is sold as such by its manufacturer.
-MINT CONDITION-
An item in "mint condition" is a like-new item in collector's condition. It is often still unused or used only very lightly without leaving noticeable signs of use or storage. Game discs such as CDs, DVDs or Blu-Rays are free of scratches while the original packaging shows no obvious signs of wear, damages, tears or marks. An item classified as "mint" could potentially be considered suitable for grading via external grading services such as WATA or VGA.
Please note that we cannot rule out the possibility that any included download codes may have already been redeemed or may have expired over time.
-VERY GOOD CONDITION-
Items in a "very good condition" are still great collector's items with only minimal signs of usage.
CDs or DVDs may have no or only very few light scratches that do not in any way affect gameplay. Blu-Rays are free of scratches.
The packaging may have minor imperfections but is free from bigger issues such as water damage, tears, bend marks or discoloration/fading.
Please note that with lower priced items it is possible that the original plastic case could have been switched with high-quality third-party replacements.
-ACCEPTABLE-
An item is classified as acceptable when it shows very noticeable signs of usage that degrade the overall visual presentation. These issues are purely aestethic and do not affect playback.
This may include tears, bent corners, discolorations and/or water damage.
CDs or DVDs may have few noticeable scratches that should not affect gameplay. Blu-Rays are free of scratches. (We do not sell discs with heavy or otherwise very noticeable scratches, in which case we would sell the item as defective, see below.)
Plastic cases may have been switched with high-quality third-party replacements.
Items listed as "acceptable" are rarely suitable for collectors but they could be used to fill gaps in your collection, ie. for a later upgrade - or to simply play the game.
-DEFECTIVE- (for parts only)
Items listed as "defective" won't work properly and are only sold if they could still be of interest to DIY enthusiasts. The item may also have missing parts or other other significant issues.
We sell "defective" items only on rare occassions and do not offer any warranty or returns for these items.

-DEFECTIVE (FOR DIY ENTHUSIASTS)-
